Et sote tarifi, en çabuk yapılan et yemeklerinden biri. Ben et sote yapacağımız zaman kırmızı etten yapacaksam kuşbaşı edilmiş dana eti veya yine kuş başı doğranmış kuzu eti kullanıyorum. Dana eti kokusuz oluyor, kuzu eti yemekleri daha lezzetli oluyor ancak biraz ağır kokusu olabilir kuzu etinin. Ben kuzu etinin kokusunu yok etmek için her zaman et yemeklerine de, et sotelere de bir yaprak defne yaprağı atarım size de tavsiye ederim. Et sote yemeği yaparken ben soğanları normalden biraz büyük doğrarım. Böylece soğanın tadı ve suyu yemeğe daha çok geçiyor ve daha lezzetli olmasını sağlıyor. Her et yemeğinde olduğu gibi et sote yaparken de tuzu en son et soteyi ocaktan alırken atarım ki et kolay pişsin. Öncelikle soğanı, ayıklayıp rendeleyelim, tavaya sıvıyağı alıp ocakta soğanlar pembe olana kadar soteli yelim. Eti ilave edelim kavuralım, suyunu salıp çekene kadar kısık ateşte pişmeye bırakalım. Biz bu arada, domates ve biberleri yıkayalım, ince ince keselim. Suyunu ceken, etin içine önce domatesi ilave edip domatesler suyunu çekene kadar pişirelim.
